User Content: We collect information you create, such as Trip details (Title,
Destination, Dates, Budget, Itinerary) and uploaded images (Trip banners).
Communications: Information you provide when contacting support or providing
feedback.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
Location Data: We request access to your device's coarse location (City level) to
help you discover trips starting near you. This data is processed locally or temporarily used to
filter trips and is not continuously tracked in the background.
Usage Data: We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect anonymous data
about how you interact with the App (e.g., screens visited, crashes) to improve performance and
stability.
Device Information: We may collect device model, OS version, and unique device
identifiers for analytics and security purposes.
C. Cache and Local Storage
Local Cache: We store certain data locally on your device
to improve app performance and enable offline functionality. This includes user preferences, guest
session data, and cached trip information.
Authentication Tokens: Firebase Authentication stores secure tokens on your device
to maintain your login session.
Analytics Cookies: Firebase Analytics may use cookies and similar tracking
technologies to collect anonymous usage data. These help us understand how users interact with the
App.
Image Cache: Trip images and profile pictures are cached locally to reduce data
usage and improve loading times.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
To Provide Services: To create personalized accounts, facilitate trip creation, and
allow you to join trips.
To Improve the App: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs (via Crashlytics), and
enhance user experience.
To Connect Users: To display your profile (Name, Photo) to other users when you
host or join a trip.
Communication: To send important updates regarding your account or trips.
Guest Mode: To allow users to browse the app without creating an account, using
locally stored guest session data.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Other Users: Your profile information (Name, Photo) is visible to other users in
the trips you join or host.
Service Providers: We use third-party services like Google Firebase (for
authentication, database, and analytics) which process data on our behalf in accordance with their
privacy policies.
Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to
provide services.
Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated
data. You can do this by contacting support at tribe.feedback@outlook.com or using the "Delete
Account" feature in the App settings (if available).
5. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using secure servers (Firestore) and
encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Children's Privacy
TripTribe is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
